Administrative Assistant Position
Position Overview:
As an integral part of our operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive top-notch service while assisting management with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, adaptable, tech savvy and organized. While this is a part-time position, there will be future opportunities for growth and mentorship within the company to suit your interests and career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks as assigned; this could include general office errands, document scanning, organizing records, monitoring email, and other duties as needed.
- Engage with clients via phone and email, including in-person meetings and collecting necessary documents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of our company and clients.
- Efficiency in managing tasks and prioritizing assignments to meet crucial deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
Work Environment:
- This position offers the flexibility of working from home, with occasional on-site work possibilities.
- Working hours are somewhat flexible; however, most of the work will need to be done during regular business hours.
- Travel within Whitehorse will be necessary; you will be compensated for mileage.
- You will be provided with the computer equipment necessary for this position.
- Due to the local nature of this position, only applicants residing in Whitehorse will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Some experience in an administrative role and/or customer service is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with other team members.
- Familiarity with standard office software, and willingness to learn specialized software.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- A commitment to client satisfaction and professionalism.
Compensation and Hours:
- This is a part-time position with an hourly wage starting at $25, plus mileage. Wage is negotiable based on experience.
- Weekly hours will vary, especially initially, but will become regular in time.
- Daily availability during standard business hours, with additional flexible hours

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a diverse group of clients
- Work directly with clients to answer questions and obtain adequate information.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure deadlines are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Future responsibilities may include management duties and client on-boarding
Qualifications:
- Some experience as a bookkeeper or similar role; we are willing to provide additional training to the right candidate.
- Experience in accounting software (QBO, Sage, etc) is an asset.
- A willingness to learn and take direction.
- Able to organize and prioritize your tasks; work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supporting and contributing to a positive team environment.

Compensation and Benefits Package:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
- Salary: Starting wage is $32-40/hour, based on experience.
- Vacation: Enjoy three weeks of annual vacation.
